đź“Š Expertos en un reciente seminario de la ComisiĂłn EconĂłmica para AmĂ©rica Latina y el Caribe (CEPAL) argumentaron que los gobiernos deberĂan prestar más atenciĂłn a los factores econĂłmicos a la hora de diseñar polĂticas contra el crimen. Pero esto enfrenta varios desafĂos: las polĂticas basadas en criterios econĂłmicos suelen tardar años en mostrar resultados, mientras que las presiones polĂticas exigen respuestas rápidas y visibles. Por este motivo, las reformas de largo plazo suelen relegarse en favor de soluciones inmediatas, incluso cuando la evidencia indica que son menos efectivas para reducir la violencia.
