American Friends of the University of Leicester American Friends of the University of Leicester Home Who We Are Established in 2020 The American Friends of the University of Leicester AFUoL is a 501c3 nonprofit organization raising philanthropic funds for the University of Leicester. It is governed by a dedicated board of directors the majority of whom are US citizenspermanent residents and who are independent members. As a recognized US charity AFUoL is an independent entity regulated by the IRS through which US taxpayers can make tax deductible donations to the extent allowed by law. Thanks to the support of the American Friends the University has been able to support students enhance research and create Citizens of Change.
