Its mission is to improve the quality of facial plastic surgery available to the international community by measuring the qualifications of candidate surgeons against proven rigorous standards. Among the core endeavors of the IBCFPRS is the administration of the International Board exam in facial plastic surgery. This is performed in collaboration with the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
