Last week, the NAO team visited Kindness Farm, a nonprofit farm in Southeast Portland run by first-generation immigrants, refugees, and queer individuals 👨🌾 👩🌾 . Two years ago, we had the opportunity to volunteer at the farm in early winter, where we assisted in harvesting the last crops of the season and removing weeds from the soil. This year, with sunny weather, we were excited to return and plant vegetable seeds in nursery pots and directly in the ground, as well as flowers all throughout the farm 🪴 🥕.
