A traffic stop can be nerve-wracking for anyone — but how does it feel to a person with an IDD (intellectual or developmental disability). 🚨 A few people we support from Penn-Mar West had the opportunity to participate in a traffic stop simulation thanks to an incredible collaboration between Pathfinders for Autism and local law enforcement. This experience not only gave people we support exposure to what to expect during a real stop, but also helped officers gain a better understanding of how to support individuals with developmental disabilities.
