*From Shadows to Strength: Yellammabanda Centre Empowers 35 Women Through Skill Development* On April 15th, a once-neglected building in Yellammabanda transformed into a hub of celebration, hope, and pride as we hosted the *Certificate Distribution Ceremony* for 35 remarkable women. These women, who completed intensive training in beautician skills, saree draping, hairstyling, mehendi, threading, and facials, stood tall—not just with certificates in hand, but with newfound confidence and purpose in their hearts. What was once seen as a dim, lifeless structure is now affectionately viewed by the community as a *light house of opportunity*. Women who once passed by hesitantly now step into the center with hope. It has become a sanctuary of growth—a place where identities are reshaped, ambitions are reignited, and the journey toward financial independence begins. The ceremony was honoured by the presence of inspiring guests: *Mrs. Abhilasha Bisht, IPS, DGP, **Ms. Michelle Dominica, Head of India CSR & Administrative Services– Viatris, and **Mrs. Padmaja Manthena from Rimini Street*. They were visibly moved by the stories of transformation and resilience shared by the participants. Each of them not only offered powerful words of encouragement but also pledged their support to expand and sustain upcoming training programs—further anchoring their belief in the center's mission and impact. Gurukul schools are corporate style social welfare schools run by the Govt of Telangana. The admissions are taken up for Class 5 every year. The students get free education till Class 12 with all facilities and access to coaching for cultural, sports and higher education in these schools.
