Prior to becoming a firefighter Christopher was a social studies teacher in the NYC School System. The scholarship fund provides financial assistance to collegebound high school seniors across the country who participate in an essay writing competition. In addition to providing scholarships the fund raises awareness about the sacrifices made by first responders and their families.
