We are so proud to celebrate one of our own, Dr. Gretchen E. Green, radiologist, and AAWR member, as she prepares to launch into space as part of the Blue Origin New Shepard NS-32 crew! For the past 40 years, Dr. Green has dreamed of becoming an astronaut—and now, that dream is becoming a reality. On Saturday, May 31 at 8:30 AM CDT, she will follow in the footsteps of just over 100 women in space and launch on a trajectory that mirrors that of Alan Shepard, the first American in space, whom she met back in 1994 while working as a Space Camp crew trainer.
