Artifact Spotlight: Barber Shop Pole Many folks remember getting their ‘ears lowered’ at Tucker’s Barber Shop on Main Street in Broken Arrow. The barber shop was owned and operated by Marvin Tucker from 1923 when it opened until he retired in 1975. Outside Marvin’s shop stood the red and white barbershop pole most people today recognize as the symbol of a barber’s shop.
