🌱 Last night, RIWPS’ Karen Asher gave a well-attended presentation at RI Historical Society in Providence! 🪴 Karen’s talk emphasized the importance of native plants and provided information about some of her favorite natives that we can incorporate into our gardens. Swipe through this post for some snapshots from the event ➡️ 🌟Would you like to see more events like this around the Providence area? Comment below with the types of events you’d like to see us do in the future! 👇🏻 (fb)

Swipe through for some serene scenes from today’s Spring in Arcadia botanizing walk! 🌸 🌿 Biologist Denise Poyer guided us along the beautiful Ben Utter Trail in Exeter, pointing out botanical treasures including nodding trillium, Jack-in-the-pulpit (the inspiration for RIWPS’ logo!), starflower, pink lady slipper, cucumber root, and pink azalea. 💧Fun fact: Denise was the author of the Wild and Scenic Rivers designation for the Falls River, which runs along the trail! Interested in joining us for future botanizing walks? Keep an eye on our website and sign up ASAP if you see a walk that interests you - spots fill up quickly and given these pictures, you can probably see why! 😍 (fb)
