Today, UnidosUS held a roundtable discussion to share stories and strategize after the proposed federal cuts to Medicaid and SNAP were announced this past weekend. We heard from a mother whose son has asthma. She works two jobs and was already struggling to afford the three different inhalers her son needs. But with the new tariffs, she is now spending over $1,000 a month just so her son can breathe. That’s how a lot of families across Arizona and the country are feeling right now—they're gasping for air as their food security and healthcare plans fall apart. But we’re not powerless. And we don’t have to accept this. Call, text, or email your representatives today and ask them to stand up for our community and to protect Medicaid and SNAP. John Flores brings something unique to the classroom at Bogle Junior High School 🏫 In his STEM classes, John sparks curiosity and growth, encouraging students to think creatively and approach problems with confidence. Outside the classroom, he coaches the tennis team and mentors the VFX Robotics team, always showing up for his students and reminding them they matter—and they have the power to shape their own futures.
