On May 10, the Class of 2025 from MASE Academy celebrated its graduation at Mississippi Boulevard Christian Church in Memphis. It was a proud and emotional day filled with reflection and excitement for the future. MASE (Memphis Academy of Science and Engineering) is the first charter school in the state of Tennessee. Shelby County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Anthony Buckner delivered an inspiring keynote address, offering powerful words of encouragement as the graduates prepared to embark on the next chapter of their journey. “Your past may have shaped you, but it doesn’t define you,” said Chief Deputy Buckner. “The power to create your future is in your hands. Believe in it, and walk boldly into what’s next.” Thank you, Executive Director Rodrick Gaston, the board, and MASE administration for inviting the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office to this commencement ceremony.
