In the month of May, Defense of Democracy launched our teacher think on where hundreds of public school parents and community members attended school board meetings to say thank you to our hard-working teachers. It was more than a thank you, it was an acknowledgment of the struggles that they faced, dealing with harassment, attacks, and pressures by religious extremist organizations that have run rampant in our country.
