Description

National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference (NHCLC)

The National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference (NHCLC) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to unifying, serving, and representing the Hispanic Evangelical community. Founded by Dr. Jesse Miranda in 1992 as the National Evangelical Ministerial Alliance, the organization has evolved to include the merge with other state associations of Hispanic evangelicals, culminating in a national voice for the Hispanic Evangelical Church under the leadership of Pastor Samuel Rodriguez.

Mission

The NHCLC aims to unite the vertical and horizontal elements of the Christian message, emphasizing life, family, the Great Commission, edification, justice, stewardship, and youth. Their mission is rooted in the biblical principles of salvation, transformation, righteousness, and justice, aligning with figures like Billy Graham and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Center for Public Policy

The NHCLC operates a Center for Public Policy, which focuses on influencing legislation and public discourse. Key areas of concern include the sanctity of life, religious liberty, and biblical justice. The organization advocates for these values based on their belief in the intrinsic worth and divine purpose of human life, as taught in the Hebrew Bible and New Testament.

Strategic Partnerships

In 2025, the NHCLC entered a strategic alliance with America's Christian Credit Union (ACCU) to enhance the financial health of Hispanic churches. This partnership aims to provide financial education, access to credit, and advisory services to thousands of churches and pastors. The initiative includes workshops on budgeting, planning, saving, and offers financing options for church expansion and pastoral retirement planning.

Events and Initiatives

The NHCLC hosts events like the Latino Evangelical Leadership Summit, designed to support and empower pastors and ministry leaders. The summit features influential speakers and aims to fortify communities through faith, leadership, and unity. In 2024, the organization planned to launch new centers focused on financial literacy, mental health training, and advocacy for the value of life.

Leadership and Impact

Under the leadership of Rev. Samuel Rodriguez, the NHCLC represents thousands of churches across the United States and the Spanish-speaking diaspora. It is recognized as a leading voice for Latino evangelicals in America, highlighted by media outlets including CNN, Fox News, and The New York Times.
