Rooted in the Ursuline Sisters tradition of faith character and educational excellence UCS engages our faculty families and community partners in the successful whole child development of our students. Our Students Urban focuses on not only educating children but serving the whole child and their many needs academically emotionally physically socially and spiritually. Our History The Ursuline Sisters of Cleveland started Urban Community School in 1968 and wanted their school to be diverse to reflect the neighborhood to be affordable for families living in economic distress and to give students individualized instruction.
