The Horry County Bar Association is a voluntary bar association whose members are members of the South Carolina Bar. The mission of the Horry County Bar Association is to provide information and programs to its duespaying members to enable them to continue to provide the highest level of competent and ethical representation for their clients. As a voluntary bar association the HCBA is not lawyer disciplinary agency and has no authority to investigate or act upon complaints filed against lawyers.
