Arkansas Farm Bureau would like to congratulate David Branscum on his recent appointment as state director for rural development in Arkansas. “We know that David understands the needs of farmers and rural Arkansans, both of which are vital to the mission of Arkansas Farm Bureau,” said ArFB president Dan Wright. “We are excited to work alongside him once again to continue serving our members and our state.” Branscum is a third-generation cattle rancher who most recently served as the director of governmental affairs at the Arkansas Department of Education. He served as state representative for District 83 from 2011-17. Branscum served as rural development state director during President Trump’s first term and will oversee U.S. Department of Agriculture programs and investments as well as the personnel who are working to improve the lives of rural Arkansans.
