Defending Our Librarians: Standing Up Against Harassment Our school librarians play a crucial role in fostering a love for reading and learning among our children. Recently, one of our dedicated librarians, Christine Beachler of Lowell Area Schools, has been subjected to an alleged campaign of harassment and defamation led by Stefanie Boone, a self-described “parental rights” activist. Boone’s actions have allegedly included false and damaging accusations, leading to threats against Ms. Beachler and impacting her well-being.  In response, Ms. Beachler has filed a lawsuit to protect her reputation and stand against the spread of misinformation.
