Live History in Huntersville Historical Traditions Day Every Fall the town of Huntersville West Virginia hosts demonstrations of cultural arts that have slowly disappeared through the decades wool spinningchair caning quilting blacksmithingapple butter making ice cream churning cheese making and more. October 45 2024 Visit Huntersville Historical Sites Civil War Cemetery Very early on in the war when this place was still part of the state of Virginia several Southern soldiers died mostly of fever probably typhoid and were buried on this secluded hill. Huntersville Jail The stone and brick jailhouse was built in 1882 and served as the county jail until the county seat moved from Huntersville to Marlinton in 1891. The Historical Society has owned and maintained the structure since 1984.
