Active Valor ACTIVE VALOR BECOME THE IMPACT A POWERFUL MISSION Welcome to Active Valor a combat veteran run 501c3 nonprofit organization in San Diego CA dedicated to giving new purpose to veterans by pairing them as mentors to children of our nations fallen heroes referred to as Gold Star Children. Our program Valor Adventures was designed by a former Navy SEAL envisioned to give new purpose to the lives of those who have served by redirecting their passion towards making a positive change in their local communities. Our veterans are placed in an ongoing mentorship role and given the chance to pass on their profound skillsets gained from their military career to children that no longer have access to it. Together our dynamicduos utilize teamwork problem solving to overcome different obstacles and challenges to successfully complete their missions.

On this hallowed day, we take a moment of silence to remember each one of these men. Memorial Day is an incredible moment when our entire nation recognizes the depth of loss, bravery, and heroism of our fallen heroes; something our Gold Star Spouses experience 365 days a year. Each man on this list has an entire story that was cut short.

One of the most precious things about our country is the grit & sacrifice it has taken to keep us free, and all the men and women who have gone before us to ensure we stay that way. We are humbled by the stories that pass down for generations of the bravery it has taken…some knowing their fate and going anyway; all knowing the odds and taking the chance. We are intimately aware of the sacrifices our Gold Star Families have made, as well as the brothers and sisters our veteran mentors have lost, and yet, each path they walk is different.
