Dolly Parton founded Imagination Library in her Tennessee hometown in 1996. Since the fall of 2007, our community has been an affiliate. Imagination Library provides books to registered children birth to the age of five.

Imagination Library of Daviess County ILDC strives to improve literacy by providing books directly to childrens homes. With the help of numerous community partners ILDC provides books at no charge to recipient families with children younger than age 5 with a vision to build a strong literacy foundation that will foster more proficient learning throughout each childs life.
