𝐌𝐄𝐄𝐓 𝐂𝐋𝐀𝐑𝐊 If there's one thing that strikes fear into the hearts of parents, it's seeing their child in pain. For Roberth and Amelyn, that fear became real the moment they laid eyes on their newborn son. Clark came into the world born with a Unilateral Complete Cleft condition. They were overwhelmed. Confused. Unprepared. They had named him after a superhero - Clark, from Superman - hoping he would grow to be strong and brave. But they didn't know he would need that strength so soon. The hospital staff gently assured them that help was possible. There were organizations dedicated to children like Clark. But even with the promise of free surgery, the road ahead was still filled with hurdles. Clark needed proper nutrition to qualify for surgery. Determined to give their son a fighting chance, Amelyn searched the internet for help. That's when she found Abounding in Love's Facebook page. Days later, we met Clark, the little hero who had already won our hearts. In June 2024, thanks to Operation Rainbow Australia and the Kiwanis Club of Cebu , Clark received his cleft lip surgery. It was a day filled with tears - of joy, of relief, of pride. His journey isn't over. The family is now looking ahead to his cleft palate surgery. But for now, they celebrate a victory. A smile that once seemed so far away now lights up their home. And like the superhero he was named after, Clark is showing the world what true courage looks like.
