On Wednesday at about 4:45 Station 46 was dispatched to a commercial structure fire at the Hunterdon County Transfer Station. A Second Alarm was requested. Crews were met with heavy smoke from the building and contents within on fire. Once water was established crews were able to knock down the fire with hand lines and aerials. Once knocked down crews started extensive overhaul. Units were on scene for about 6 hours. We'd like to thank the 15+ agencies that responded and helped us. We'd also like to thank Station 47(sergeantsville) and Station 11(Frenchtown) for conducting overnight fire watches for us. (fb)
