Each summer, the State Leadership Conference for Chapter Officers (SLCCO) and the State Leadership Conference for Regional Officers (SLCRO) are held to develop leadership skills in students that have been selected to serve as chapter and regional officers. We are excited to announce that we are expanding this conference to now be open to all high school FFA members! There will still be specific tracks of the conference tailored for chapter officers and regional officers (SLCCO and SLCRO will remain), now with an additional opportunity open to all high school FFA members (State Leadership Conference). The conference will be held on Tuesday, July 8th at the Crowne Plaza in Lansing, MI. Registration is $25 per student and is due by June 2nd. We are expanding the Michigan FFA Association State Staff team by adding the new role of Contest and Recognition Coordinator! This position will be housed through the Michigan FFA Association in East Lansing, Michigan on the campus of Michigan State University in the Department of Community Sustainability alongside the MSU Agriculture, Food, and Natural Resources Education Program. The funds to support this role and several other initiatives to impact agriscience students and teachers across Michigan were made possible through State of Michigan Public Act 120.
