Healthy Rural California is a 501(c)3 non-profit strives to improve public health and expand healthcare workforce education to address the region's most critical access to care issues. Studies show that 50 of healthcare providers remain in the communities where they train and HRCs Residency Programs in Psychiatry and Family Medicine are key to creating a sustainable pipeline of healthcare workers. These programs are integral to improving access to care in rural communities fostering the next generation of healthcare leaders and contributing to a local economic impact of 6 million. Medical Students Healthy Rural California is proud to offer our Community Psychiatry and Family Medicine program rotations providing medical students with valuable handson experience in rural healthcare.
