BeInstrumental Foundation

The BeInstrumental Foundation is a U.S. 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to music education and advocacy. It was established in 2008 by four friends who recognized a significant shortage of musical resources in Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan.

Instruments: BeInstrumental's core program involves The Instrument Bank, which collects donated instruments, refurbishes them, and lends them to students in local schools. This initiative was boosted by a $50,000 grant from The Pepsi Refresh Project in 2010 and has provided thousands of children with the opportunity to learn music.

Education: The organization partners with community centers and educational institutions to provide music lessons and programs. These partnerships include organizations like The Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeastern Michigan and offer a variety of musical instruction, from keyboards to kazoos.
