Last week, Beyond Housing staff members participated in Action St. Louis’ volunteer effort in North St. Louis City. Staff joined other volunteers to check on residents and provide basic needs and assist with debris removal. “Seeing the damage firsthand was absolutely heartbreaking,” said Beyond Housing Senior Director of Housing Cory Dickens. “Blocks and blocks of beautiful historic homes completely leveled to a pile of bricks, massive trees on houses and cars, monumental churches and community staples missing entire roofs, and families salvaging what they could.” St. Louis, please support Action St. Louis, the Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis, and others working tirelessly on the ground to help St. Louisans affected by the tornado.
