Athens Wellness Clinic Compassionate Healthcare for the Uninsured AWC is a nonprofit health clinic in Athens Georgia that provides free comprehensive healthcare to low to no income members of the Northeast Georgia community who have no health insurance. Our Mission We believe healthcare should be accessible for everyone. We remove traditional barriers to treatment and provide the highest standard of comprehensive care delivered with compassion and respect in a supportive environment. Our Team Our dedicated team of healthcare professionals has over 100 years of combined experience working in free and charitable clinics.

Stephanie Witt is an Adult Nurse Practitioner with over 20 years of diverse clinical experience. She joined the Athens Wellness Clinic eight years ago and quickly became a cornerstone of our care team. In 2020, during a time of enormous uncertainty, Stephanie stepped into the role of Clinical Director.

She is a dual certified Family and Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and provides essential mental health services for our patients. Mauree brings warmth, compassion, and understanding to every interaction, whether with patients or fellow team members.
