It resists common bean diseases, reducing the need for chemical inputs. Additionally, due to its uniform quality, it has high nutritional value and strong market demand. In Narok County, Africa Harvest is supporting nyota bean farmers through: ✅ Training in Good Agricultural Practices (GAPs) ✅ Establishment of demo plots for hands-on learning ✅ Market linkages to boost incomes The picture featured in slide 1 shows a thriving demo site in Oleleshwa Ward, hosted by Mrs. Lucy Sadera, whose dedication has led to excellent germination and field health — a great example for learning and replication. Mrs. Sadera shared: "I’m grateful to Africa Harvest for training me on good agronomic practices for Nyota beans, especially the correct spacing. Their support and promise to link us to markets gives me confidence to keep growing this variety."
