Join us as we celebrate our first graduates of our Chaplaincy Training Program! Fourteen candidates recently completed an eighteen-hour training course with a four-week internship for ministry to RGM's sheltered guests, New Life and Transitional Savings program members, and RGM staff. A completion ceremony was held on May 6th. Training covered such things as Mission Life and Culture, Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), Understanding Drug, Alcohol, and Other Life Controlling Issues, Basic Listening and Attending Skills, and Crisis Ministry (CISM). Ten candidates were commissioned to chaplaincy, with four RGM employees participating. A second class will be offered later this year in the fall. The program is open to both lay and clergy. Missing from this picture are Pastor Robert Harper, Pastor David Royer, Carlyn Knight and Wayne Murray.
