Congratulations to our Clairton students who recently wrapped up Carnegie Mellon Robotics Academy's Fabrication Foundations Micro-Certification! This hard-working group completed 40 hours of hands-on training in basic measurement, reading and interpreting drawings, and handling materials! Fantastic job today by our students from The Neighborhood Academy! They hosted the Third Annual Community Slam, a transformative event to raise awareness about teen mental health and its relevance. The program shined a light on critical issues they recognize are impacting their communities through morning activities and entertainment like a bounce house, face painting, photo booth, and caricatures followed by discussions with these local organizations: -Will Allen Foundation -Boys & Girls Clubs of Western Pennsylvania -University of Pittsburgh's Study of Teen Experiences That Promote Success (STEPS) -IEC Pennsylvania -EnGen -Carlow University Thanks to everyone who helped make this program a success!
