Seems like there's a lot of bad news these days, so we'd like to share some good news... Although we are struggling with the loss of funds, our staff continues to help move people from crisis to stability. SHARE Center Case Manager Cameron Dawson has a full caseload. Two of his clients he has been working with are couple who were homeless, in recovery, and in need of employment and housing. After working with Cam for two months, both were able to secure jobs and an apartment they could afford. Another client is a single woman in her 50s who was also experiencing homelessness. Cam helped her get connected to NIBC and the Battle Creek Housing Commission. With ongoing case management support, she was able to find an apartment within two weeks. Both are great examples of the big impact our small organization has through dedication and community collaboration. (fb)
