Preserving the History of New Mexico The Historical Society of New Mexico Our mission is to increase and disseminate knowledge of New Mexico and the Southwest Borderlands history through research publications and educational outreach as well as to encourage the preservation of historic objects and property. Perks of Membership Grants HSNM members are eligible to apply for grants. The grant program was created to help individuals organizations and institutions further projects consistent with the mission of HSNM.
