A heartfelt thanks to the North Albany American Legion Auxiliary #1610 for a donation of 22 beautiful red, white and blue blankets made to comfort Veteran patients on our program. Our appreciation to members (l to r) Judith Benner and Janice Precopia who delivered them to Amy Scarlett, manager of volunteers for The Community Hospice. What a wonderful mission they follow -- “For God and Country, Service not Self.

Kudos to the 5th grade students at Southgate Elementary School who created these beautiful Veteran-themed pots with flowering plants to donate to The Community Hospice. The special deliveries will go to brighten the day for our patients who are seriously ill at home or in nursing homes. To the kids, parents and teachers at Southgate, you should be SO PROUD.
