Congratulations to Gold Award Girl Scout Kira Bailey! Relying on her own experience, Kira created care bags for teens undergoing cancer treatment. After she identified age-appropriate items to boost the patients’ spirits, she and her team of volunteers created a wish list, gathered items, sorted and packed the items and donated them to a local children's hospital. The team from her church plans to continue creating the care bags. Girl Scout Troops 51624 and 90623 celebrated Earth Day together last month! The girls made recycled art, bird feeders, and paper and learned about what to recycle and not to recycle.
