Her home was filled with the wonderful curtain and wallpaper patterns that grew out of the rich design work of the 1930s and 1940s. Norgard spent much of her youth at the familyrun flower shop which had been established by her grandmother. Working at the flower shop Norgard developed a sense of arrangement design and craft.
