NYMBCG NY Metropolitan Breast Cancer Group A Multidisciplinary Medical Society In 1972 a group of surgeons began meeting at regular intervals to discuss issues and concerns regarding the treatment of breast cancer. They came from many institutions and frequently differed in their points of view but shared a common interest in promoting and improving the quality of breast cancer care. The New York Metropolitan Breast Cancer Group was incorporated as a multidisciplinary society in 1972. Members are from hospitals and medical schools in the tristate area.
