Today, we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Their sacrifice ensures the freedoms we enjoy each day. Last fall, we launched North Carolina's first-ever high school forestry course with a Forest Worker Credential: AN53 Natural Resources II - Forestry. Our team has been working hard to implement this course into more NC schools so students can be exposed to the many career opportunities in forestry. We are excited to share that the State Board of Community Colleges has approved the 2025 North Carolina High School to Community College Articulation Agreement between the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction and the North Carolina Community College System. Our high school forestry course is included in the list of courses represented by this agreement, meaning that if a student is proficient in this course, the student can receive college credit for that course at any North Carolina community college. This is a huge milestone as we continue to further promote the course. It also makes entry into our industry a little easier for any students looking to pursue their passions in forestry! Thank you to the North Carolina FFA Association for your support, and to our community college system for agreeing to include our course in this agreement.
