Our all-volunteer program, founded in 1954, is comprised of components which provide meaningful and positive educational, athletic, emotional, social, and, overall delinquency prevention activities for our mostly disadvantaged inner-city youth enrollment. We emphasize maximizing our Kids' positive potential and in being able to offer them the same tools to succeed that youngsters from more affluent backgrounds often take for granted. A major objective is our use of sports to help our Kids grow. Through sports, we are able to reach and help them become responsible adults. We are able to emphasize drug education and prevention, decrease street and race crimes, improve reading/writing skills, and help our Kids learn to respect others from diverse backgrounds.
