Healthy and Ready To Learn - Kurka Children's Health Fund Kurka Childrens Health Fund Healthy and Ready To Learn Our Mission The Kurka Childrens Health Fund is committed to helping students of the Los Angeles Unified School District LAUSD be ready to learn by improving the health status of its most vulnerable children and youth. WHAT WE DO Operate with a volunteer Board of Directors that manages the work of the fund. Work directly with school nurses principals and teachers who identify students in need of vision dental and medical services. Collaborate closely with the LAUSD eye clinics to provide vision exams and glasses at a reduced rate for eligible students.
