On Wednesday, May 21, McLeod Health Project SEARCH hosted a graduation ceremony at McLeod Regional Medical Center. Brian Denny, Assistant Superintendent for Programs of Exceptional Children congratulated the seven graduates, saying, “During your time here at McLeod, you have brought nothing but joy to everyone around you. I wish you well as you take the skills you have gained here out into the workforce.

Big Picture Learning has been awarded a $50,000 grant from Power:Ed Foundation to support the continuation of the Industrial Maintenance Residency Program with McLeod Health. The funds will be used to support scholarships for participants and cover the costs of their tools and work clothes. During the residency program, students will be cross-trained in HVAC, electronics, plumbing and construction to make them well-rounded technicians.
