Greetings, Friends! Happy New Year! Although it might seem I fell off the edge of the world, I AM STILL HERE😁 www.RoseAnneColeman.com Since I last wrote you, God has taken me down new paths of learning obedience. In 2017 I took care of my dad in Pensacola for 4 months until his death and this past year getting his house ready to sell--and finally selling it. Being out of state and out of the stream of audiences, my speaking engagement calendar has been empty. I started looking for part-time work for the first time in 33 years. No teaching jobs were available, so I started doing laundry and cleaning houses/businesses for a service this summer. I was the oldest, newbie worker😳. Yep, my body was yelling every night! After 3 months with them, Columbia State offered me 4 classes: one English lab, one English Comp 1010 on the Williamson County campus, and two Dual-Enrollment classes at Summit High School three days a week. GOD HAS SENT ME BACK TO HIGH SCHOOL! I have learned so much from my students, and hopefully, they have learned something from me. I had prayed for God to help me tell the next generation of His faithfulness, so He put me with college freshmen, 11th and 12th graders. (Please pray: Many have no connection with church; one had no idea who David and Goliath were, so I am introducing a new generation to the Lord.) With some needing extra help with their writing, I held Round Table help sessions at the Thompsons Stations' Kroger on Saturdays at 9:00 a.m. THEY CAME, and their writing improved! An added bonus: A few stayed behind to talk about life😁and Jesus.❤️ I also was asked to teach a Bible study, starting in August and ran for 9 weeks at my home church, Church of the City, Franklin, TN. (Melissa Wolfe Guay😁) Jerry says he will video that series, too, so be looking for it. I also am a volunteer chaplain for the Volunteer Fire and Rescue district, which includes 4 stations and much of our end of Williamson County. I have met many fine folks who serve sacrificially to keep others safe. Last night Chief Jones introduced me and asked if I would bless the food for our Christmas gathering. I am honored to contribute however I can, which is mainly praying when calls for help come in. SEE? God can open doors to love others--even when our hair is white! RACM still needs donations for 2019. God has "expanded my borders," putting me smack dab in the middle of my world to live Jesus and love others to Him.
