Julia’s inspiring paintings will be on views at Jessica Silverman Gallery July 24- August 30 and the entrance and along the corridor of the new 17,000 square feet Pediatric Emergency Center at Maimonides. ⭐️NEWLY INSTALLED!⭐️We are thrilled to share images from the joyful unveiling of Mickalene Thomas’ #RxARTProject, “Freesia on my Mind: The Beauty of Ruth Bader Ginsburg.” Thomas designed this vibrant mosaic specifically for the lobby of NYC Health + Hospitals/South Brooklyn, namesake Ruth Bader Ginsburg Hospital🪻Freesias and white hydrangeas, the favorites of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, adorn a background of blues, yellows, and orange mosaic. This installation was made possible through a collaboration between RxART, the Arts in Medicine Department at NYC Health + Hospitals, and the Laurie M. Tisch Illumination Fund. This project marks the 12th project RxART has completed with Arts in Medicine, and the first installation with Thomas. RxART is deeply grateful to the Rallis Foundation and the Ruth Stanton Foundation for their generous support of this project 💝 The biggest thank you to everyone who brought this project to life.
