ILLINOIS PEOPLES ACTION
BREAKING: SB1723 has passed both houses of the Illinois General Assembly. This bill protects residents in multiple communities across 14 counties from dangerous, unreliable carbon sequestration activity. It stops 3 proposed projects in the footprint of the Mahomet Aquifer and lays the groundwork for continued efforts to protect residents in McLean county where the excluded recharge areas are located.
