This assignment sent me up and down the Colorado River, from the headwaters in Colorado, all the way to its original delta in el Valle de Mexicali, Mexico. The project documents the river’s fragility, but also the steps people are taking — big or small — to find solutions for a withering river and its surrounding ecosystems.
