A collecting club for new and seasoned art lovers based in Charlotte. We are here to help you demystify art collecting, explore the city, and have fun along the way. @meredith.connelly, @myloan_dinh, @gracestottt, and @dammit_wesley are each lined up to make something special for us in Year 2. Collectors will receive one of each artwork and attend private reveal events to meet the artists and hear firsthand about the creative process. Meredith Connelly is a multidisciplinary artist renowned for her immersive, illuminated installations that intertwine art, science, and technology. MyLoan Dinh is a Vietnamese-American interdisciplinary artist whose work explores themes of identity, displacement, and cultural memory. ​Grace Stott is a contemporary artist exploring identity, memory, and the interplay between the natural and constructed worlds. Dammit Wesley is a multidisciplinary artist and cultural agitator who boldly confronts themes of race, consumerism, and Black identity. 🌟We stopped in mid-build to chat about the installation @markwilson.jr created in residency. As you can see, his process includes assemblage of collected items, printmaking, metalwork, and ceramics.
