**Monterey Peninsula Theatre Trust** (MPTT) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting and promoting theater and performing arts on California's Monterey Peninsula. Established originally as the Monterey Peninsula Community Theatre Charitable Trust to assist Monterey Peninsula College's theater program, it later expanded its mission to serve all qualified nonprofits and post-secondary school theater, dance, and music groups in the region[2][3][4].

## Mission and activities
The MPTT aims to enhance live performance opportunities by providing financial assistance, grants, and outreach support. Its core mission includes funding educational initiatives, productions, and collaborative projects among local arts organizations[1][2][3]. Key programs include scholarships for emerging artists and grants for nonprofit performing arts groups[1][2].

## History and leadership
Originally focused on Monterey Peninsula College's theater program, the organization restructured to become a broader regional supporter of performing arts[2][4]. Board members include Eric and Teresa Del Piero, recognized as "Champions of the Arts" by the Arts Council for Monterey County in 2012. Teresa Del Piero, a Boston University-trained actor and SAG-AFTRA member, has served on multiple arts boards including the Monterey County Film Commission[2].

I work in a nonprofit and listing our organization on Eduo.org helped us reach new audiences and even new volunteers. It’s easy to use and feels built with love.

Incredible to see how technology is transforming lives! Today, I witnessed a paralyzed man lift an artificial arm just by thinking about it, and another quadriplegic playing drums with a microchip in his brain. Innovation truly is changing the world for the better! πŸŽ‰ #GoodNews #PositiveChange
