Beef Sticks for Backpacks BSFB is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to produce and distribute high quality beef sticks to Colorado backpack programs that help feed kids facing food insecurity on the weekends. Each oneounce beef sticks contain 8 grams of protein and are produced by students at Colorado State University in the Global Food Innovation Center. Every week beef sticks are distributed to backpack programs such as Food Bank of the Rockies Totes for Hope program. Backpack programs get enough beef sticks for every food bag at no cost reducing their burden of food sourcing while ensuring the distribution of beef sticks to children across Colorado.
