Wethersfield Historical Society's mission is to preserve and promote Wethersfield's history and culture to inspire people today and tomorrow. We believe that history happens every day, and are interested in all of Wethersfield's history. Wethersfield Historical Society (WHS) is a private, non-profit community-based organization that has been serving its community for 92 years. The society administers 5 historic buildings including the Keeney Memorial Cultural Center which houses its main museum, the Cove Warehouse Maritime Museum, the Hurlbut-Dunham House, and the Old Academy which houses the society's local history library and archives. WHS presents free educational and cultural programs. WHS serves 20K visitors each year, and another 60K use the educational resources on its website.
