📣OPENING JUNE 8 📣 Step into the world of Noah Davis—visionary artist, community builder, and storyteller of everyday Black life. The first major survey of the late artist’s visionary work, "Noah Davis" brings together over 50 paintings, sculptures, and works on paper from 2007 to 2015, right here in Los Angeles, where Davis lived, worked, and left a lasting legacy. Organized chronologically, the exhibition traces his exploration of family, everyday life, politics, art history, and architecture. His emotionally rich, dreamlike works draw from found photographs, family albums, and pop culture, blending realism and imagination. As co-founder of the Underground Museum, Davis was deeply committed to making art accessible—bringing museum-quality exhibitions to Black and Latinx communities in L.A. 🖼️ Come witness a legacy of vision, imagination, and love. 🔖 Save to plan your visit. 🗣️ Share with someone who needs to see this. 👩🏾💻 Learn more: https://hmmr.buzz/noah-davis (fb)

"Design is the form that surrounds us and serves us every day, wherever life takes place."—Clara Porset Join Zoë Ryan, Director of the Hammer Museum, for a compelling conversation that brings fresh insight into the writings of Cuban-born designer Clara Porset—a visionary voice in mid-century modernism. ✨ In celebration of the new book "LIVING DESIGN: The Writings of Clara Porset," Ryan will lead a discussion with distinguished art historian Brenda Danilowitz, editor of "Anni Albers: Selected Writings on Design," and architectural historian Jane Hall, author of "Breaking Ground: Architecture by Women." Together, they’ll explore Porset’s legacy, the global context of her work, and the power of design writing as a form of resistance and self-definition for women in male-dominated fields. 🗓️ Wednesday, May 28, 7:30PM 📍Hammer Museum 🎟️ Admission is always FREE! Don't miss out! 🏷️ Save this post + set a reminder! https://hmmr.buzz/Clara-Porset (fb)
